Pictures that explain. Details that matter.
Our visual guides help you ask better questions. These illustrations are not records of damage to your car.
ILLUSTRATIVE DAMAGE · AI-GENERATED
A photo is a starting point.
A photograph alone cannot establish an insurance write-off category. Use recorded findings and a qualified inspection to understand the damage.

01 / Front bodywork
Look for uneven panel gaps, mismatched paint and damaged lights. Ask about repairs and supporting invoices.
This is a buying guide, not a damage map for the checked vehicle. Actual damage photographs will only appear if they are supplied and licensed for that report.
GOOD QUESTIONS
Before you get the keys.
Clear answers, without the jargon.
Does a clear report mean the car has never been damaged?
No. A check can only report the records available to it. Unrecorded damage or repairs may not appear. Inspect the vehicle and consider an independent mechanical inspection.
Will I get photos of a previous accident?
Accident photographs are not promised as part of either package. The damage images on this page are educational illustrations, not evidence about a searched vehicle.
What is the difference between Basic and Full?
Basic focuses on vehicle information, MOT history, specification and indicative valuation. Full adds the available finance, stolen, scrapped, insurance write-off and mileage anomaly checks.
Is the free DVLA check still available?
The free DVLA lookup remains in CERSUS Appraisal. It provides a different set of information and does not replace the paid history checks.
Can my dealership buy checks in advance?
Managers can purchase shared credit in CERSUS Appraisal. For trade enquiries, contact support@cersus.co.uk.
